Olympic weightlifting consists of two lifts - the Snatch and the Clean and Jerk. Weightlifting is practised by many for health, fitness and enjoyment. Many athletes incorporate Olympic weightlifting movements as part of their training program as it promotes flexibility, speed, strength and power.

 

Northside Weightlifting is based out of Crossfit Northside, located in Clontarf on the Redcliffe peninsula. We offer an exceptional training facility with highly qualified coaches on hand, creating an ideal environment for developing the Olympic weightlifter from beginners thru to advanced. Crossfit Northside is a community based training facility fostering a fun and supportive environment for lifters to train and improve their skills.

 

Northside Weightlifting caters for a diverse range of athletes from men and women, beginners to advanced, teenages through to masters' competitors. Our weighlifting sessions are specifically programmed and designed to help all lifters reach their specific goals.

 

The sessions run for two hours and lifters can come anytime within that time to complete their lifting session. A qualified coach is on hand to offer support and guidance to all lifters.
